Hi! My name is Mier, a computer engineer and digital nomad. In addition to typical travel, I’m actively conquering various summits in the Philippines. I’m also documenting my adventures for fellow mountaineers who enjoy hiking solo or as part of a group. If you have questions, feel free to message me on Facebook or Instagram.

  1. Internet Connection

    1. Hotel WiFi: up to 40mbps

    2. Mobile Data [LTE]: up to 15mbps (Globe)

  2. Power or Electricity There was one time power outage during my trip that lasted for almost 4hrs but the rest was pretty stable. There are restaurants and some local coffee shops as well that offer free use of power outlets.

  3. Security Sagada has one of the kindest and friendliest people. You just have to show respect as well to their locals and you have nothing to worry about.

  4. Travel Time or Accessibility Travel time is the only thing that's a bit of challenge here. It might take up to 8hrs from Baguio City.

General Tips:

  1. Make sure to plan your tours ahead and reserve slots specially on peak seasons.

  2. Bomod-ok Falls is a must visit!

  3. You might need to prepare for a lot of walking and hikes when visiting Sagada.

  4. Sagada already have a reservation based tricycle service. Just call the number below.

Tour Highlights: Checkout this highlighted video in my facebook page or youtube.

Sometimes, I just want to get lost. Embark on a journey without any plans, move around, and let the place surprise me with its beauty.

For years now, I’ve been in a constant search for something. Something I can’t quite define. Something I may never find. There’s a void in my life that nothing I’ve tried so far can fill. What is it? I don’t know. All I know is that I must keep searching. And so, in my ongoing quest for that missing piece, my feet have taken me farther north in this country. Now, I’m exploring Sagada!

In comparison to other provinces I’ve visited, the people of Sagada show the greatest respect and love for the environment. They blend in with nature, causing as little harm as possible. I admire how they preserve their traditions and protect local entrepreneurs from the encroachment of large corporations. I even heard that only locals are allowed to buy land here—a wise decision to maintain the purity of the place.

I love adventures. So, of course, I tried a variety of activities—solo or in groups, in the water or up in the mountains. I’ve done as much as I could. And every moment was filled with joy in my heart. Five days pass in the blink of an eye when you’re traveling. A day feels like an hour when you’re on an adventure. Like every other place I’ve visited, I return home with a heart full of joy and lessons. But I also leave with even more questions. And so, the search continues, always seeking answers.
